Amazing Book!

The book is one of the best twelve step help books I have read. It fits perfectly with any of the twelve steps (NA, AA, Al-anon, Nar-anon, Codependents Anonymous, etc.) and guides you through the twelve steps with journaling prompts. The journaling prompts make you take a closer look at yourself and encourage you to express your feelings though writing. If you are planning on changing your life through the twelve steps, I advise you to use this book as a guide - do not attempt to do it alone. This book not only guides you through the steps, but motivates you to complete them. It was a wonderful purchase for such a cheap price, and it has helped me throughout my recovery from codependency.

Great handbook for the kindle

For those beginning Al Anon and wondering if it is right for you, this is an excellent handbook for a small investment. The 'official' Al Anon lit unfortunately is not available for Kindle. But my bible and this are on my kindle. There are multiple books you will start to carry to meetings, so having two less helps! Also, if you cannot afford the Al Anon books, this gives you the twelve steps to read at the beginning of every meeting and gives you some clue to learning the language.

A journal for every day life whether or not there is an addict in your life--Barbara's journey could be anyones. A journey trying to solve their own problem, whatever that might be. Your Twelve Step Journey is a conversation that could help anyone. Barbara is a brave woman and so can anyone be, one step at a time. Especially liked the work pages, keeping notes on how you feel now, then later, and later still, increases self knowledge and awareness. I would recomment this book to anyone who wants to live a happier and more satisfying life.,
